Colab
A digital platform connecting impact-driven professionals through shared values, skills, and ways of working.
Concept
Colab is a digital platform designed to connect small impact-driven organizations and freelancers through meaningful collaborations. By matching individuals based on their working styles, complementary skills, and values, Colab goes beyond traditional CVs and portfolios. The platform fosters compatibility, trust, and smoother onboarding processes, while empowering solopreneurs and teams to work together more effectively while supporting socially conscious and purpose-driven projects.
Mission
The mission was to design a more flexible and human approach to professional collaboration, connecting an international community of impact-driven professionals through flexibility, relationships, innovation, and empowerment. Our goal was to make finding collaborators feel less like hiring and more like finding the right people to build something meaningful with.
Research Insights
Through desk research, surveys, benchmarking, and user interviews, we explored how people currently find and work with collaborators. The research showed that the biggest challenges are about alignment, communication, trust, and expectations.
Key Insights
We identified that the main challenges in collaboration are not related to skills, but to alignment and communication. Most existing platforms focus on showcasing portfolios, skills, and availability, overlooking what truly makes teamwork successful: shared values, compatible work styles, and clear communication habits.

Target Users
Colab is designed for impact-driven professionals who want their work to create a positive difference. They typically have an international mindset, strong digital fluency, and experience working independently or across distributed teams. Rather than belonging to a single profession, they share a common motivation: to collaborate with people who care about the same things.
Visual identity
Digital product
Colab turns the idea of work chemistry into a guided journey from self discovery to meaningful connection. Users build their profiles at their own pace through curated questions, prompts, quizzes, and optional audio answers, creating the foundation for more accurate matches.
The dashboard brings together community insights, events, and collaboration opportunities, while the Community page helps users discover compatible people through thematic areas and detailed profiles. Personality and working style comparisons make each match more transparent.
When users find a potential collaborator, they can easily arrange a digital coffee date through shared availability, with meeting details and icebreaker suggestions helping turn a digital match into a real connection.
Next Steps
Future iterations focus on strengthening relationships after a collaboration, giving teams practical toolkits to stay aligned, and opening the platform to community-led events — so Colab can support not only matching, but the work that follows.
